Frequently Asked Questions
How to Prepare for your Portrait Session.
Maternity Sessions:
Best time to schedule: It is highly recommended to plan your session between weeks 29 and 36 of your pregnancy for optimal results.
What to wear: Be mindful to avoid tight clothing that leaves marks, such as elastic waistbands or socks. Ideally, choose a light-fitting dress accompanied by comfortable sandals. Optionally, you may choose to go without a bra and panties for added comfort.
What to bring: Our studio will provide sheer draping to enhance your photos. However, you have the option to bring your own outfit, such as jeans paired with yoga pants and a tank top or a lovely maxi dress. Studio has several maternity dresses if you choose. We suggest avoiding baggy maternity clothes, as they may not photograph well.
Newborn Sessions:
Best time to schedule: It is advisable to schedule your sessions within the first 10 days after your baby's birth for the best outcome.
What to prepare: Ensure your precious newborn is well-fed prior to the session, as this will greatly help them feel sleepy and relaxed during the shoot, allowing for those serene and beautiful moments to be captured perfectly. Please note that babies are primarily photographed in nothing but their diapers to truly highlight their natural beauty and innocence. You may also wish to bring along sentimental outfits, cherished blankets, or meaningful objects that hold special significance to you, as these items can help personalize the experience and create lasting memories that you'll treasure forever.
Family Sessions (with parents and siblings):
What to wear: For family sessions, opt for plain clothing in white, black, or gray tones, as this will create a timeless look while avoiding logos and patterns that can be distracting. Most importantly, wear what makes you feel good and comfortable. It may be wise to bring a change of clothes, just in case of any baby accidents, as these are quite common and can be cleaned up easily.
General Tips: Remember, well-fed and well-rested children are generally easier to photograph. Our studio is equipped with various props, including toys and snacks, to keep children entertained throughout the session.
